Up Your Social Media Game
For associations that are frustrated with the lackluster results they're seeing on social media, it might be time to re-evaluate your strategy. To better understand what's happening on social media for nonprofits, the Nonprofit Marketing Guide recently surveyed nonprofits on their use of the specific social media tactics the social media companies themselves say are most engaging. Researchers found that 53% of nonprofits manage an active Facebook Group. Meanwhile, 42% post to Instagram Stories at least once a week. And only a quarter of nonprofits actively encourage communications via Facebook Messenger or a chat bot. Finally, only 13% say they live stream video at least monthly despite the fact that video posts are by far the most engaging content on social media, and people watch live video streams even longer than recorded videos.
