Associations Now cites the Infinite Dial 2019 survey from Edison Research and Triton Digital, which warns that social media has become a saturated market. Around 79 percent of Americans say they have used social media, according to the research, down from 2017's 80 percent peak. Podcasts, by contrast, are on the rise. Roughly 32 percent of Americans now listen to them on a monthly basis versus 26 percent in 2018—the largest year-over-year growth in that statistic since the survey began.
