2019 Content Trends to Watch

The first is that long-form content will be even more important in 2019, as search engines reward lengthier posts in their results rankings. Two, Boyd foresees significant growth in video marketing. For those planning to integrate everything from webinars to webcasts into their 2019 marketing plans, he recommends sticking to a regular, optimized upload schedule. Three, voice search will be big in 2019 as more online publications use audio content to keep up with their readers’ demands. Four, more organizations will employ chatbots that can answer questions and offer 24/7 member service. Five, those that haven’t jumped on the social media bandwagon yet will be incorporating it into their content marketing plans in 2019, with many starting with Facebook. Finally, Boyd expects greater “authenticity.” He writes: “The undertone of honesty and authenticity can attract the types of clients with whom you’ll actually want to work and can make your content marketing initiatives far more successful.”
